Ballet Class Accompanist

I’ve enjoyed playing for Royal Academy of Dance ballet classes and exams for around 15 years in dance schools located in Glasgow, Stirling, Edinburgh, Aberdeen, and further afield.

Please contact me if you’d like me to come and play for class or an exam.

Current Repertoire

Here is a list of all the RAD grade and vocational repertoire that I have played for exams.

  • Grade 2 – new syllabus
  • Grade 3 – new syllabus
  • Grade 6
  • Grade 7
  • Grade 8
  • Intermediate Foundation
  • Intermediate
  • Advanced Foundation

Even if the exam is not listed above, I’m willing to learn the repertoire, and come and play for your students.

Charges

In line with the significant changes to the RAD syllabus, I charge the current minimum Musician’s Union rate for a ballet class, which is £37.50 per hour for the first 90 minutes, then, for the remainder of the booking, I charge my normal education/teaching rate of £20 per hour (unchanged since 2008), plus the equivalent of a standard rail return (or fuel equivalent) from Kirkcaldy to the dance studio.

Instrument

Whilst it’s helpful to be able to turn up at a studio and play a beautifully maintained acoustic piano, if that’s not available, I’m willing to bring my own instrument.
